Here is a red and green flannel quilt from Gors Goch "the village of the hat makers", Cardiganshire, Wales.
The top is green and the reverse is red flannel. The flannel is machine seamed and hand quilted, with woollen wadding. It measures 85 x 73 inches or 214 x 196 cm. It dates from about 1880.
Patterns seen - three centre medallions, spirals and leaves. A beautiful example of a Welsh flannel quilt from the Jen Jones collection.
